Pinched - Paper Cut

Click the 'Follow' button at the very top of the page!  Show your support!

This is the smallest paper-cut yet.  It is 4 1/2" x 6 1/2".  The center is floating and the edges are flat against the background paper.

Again, I will sell these with the condition that I can borrow them for my solo exhibit at Studio b in December.

And here is a watercolor from last night's Figure Drawing Class at CityArts Cooperative.

Update: *SOLD*

Art-making sure can take a heavy toll on one's body.  My calloused fingers ache, I can hardly bend my pointer finger sometimes.  My back and neck get tense and knotted from hours of hunched over art-making.  Some day I fear there will be doctor's bills that will cost more than an artist can afford.  So help pay for my future chiropractor by purchasing a piece of art!  I have stuff for easy purchase at etsy.  Or if there is anything else you are interested in, it's probably for sale.  Ask, and I shall tell you a price.

Thanks so much for reading!  Have a great weekend.

  1. The paper pieces are so great. I remember reading your blog when you first started doing them and even in that short time since then you have improved them so much. You must have a lot of patience for those fiddly bits. Are you just using a regular mat knife?

  2. Thanks, Grace! I'm using a #11 x-acto knife. I change the blades very often. It is tedious indeed, but rewarding.
